Again, isn’t it possible that the oppression of women has continued for thousands of years precisely because it’s a narrative men have wanted to avoid at all costs? Why would you want to continue to avoid talking about it? I truly don’t understand. Speaking as a woman, I have seen some things get better for us. Other things are frustratingly stagnant. And as for men committing suicide, equality for women means equality for men. When men can express their feelings without being told by society you have to stuff everything down, that will naturally lead to less violence from men, both toward other men as well as toward women. If anything, women are endlessly forgiving. We’re just asking for better behavior. That’s all. We’re not condemning all men. We haven’t decided you all should go in the trash. But you all should be a little less sensitive about this.
