As someone who is BPD and has been on and off antidepressants for 35 years now, I’ve accepted that I’m on Zoloft for life and there’s nothing to be ashamed of. People with trauma/BPD/CPTSD have brains that have been permanently rewired to be susceptible to depression, anxiety and anger. That’s not our fault. Medication is an appropriate part of our basic maintenance. Antidepressants are also one of the least toxic medications you can take.
There will always be people who are anti medication, and that’s their right. I’m pro medication, period, and I make no apologies for that.
