Dear Cletus: You Don’t Look Tough

Today the Supreme Court of the United States will hear a case on the Constitutionality of whether or not there’s a Second Amendment right for every American to carry a firearm in public, including in crowded cities like New York City and Los Angeles. And why might we very well allow this foolishness? Because a few loud, insecure white men might throw a tantrum, that’s why. These are the same insecure white men who stormed the Capitol when the vote didn’t go their way. The same insecure white men who installed a lying, rapist, anti-America conman into our White House who then repaid their loyalty by stacking the Supreme Court with two unqualified zealots who will very likely decide that every nutjob in this country can openly or covertly carry guns everywhere, all the time, consequences be damned.

Sounds super pro-life, huh?

Normally, conservatives are for “states rights’” over the federal government, until they’re not. Abortion, for instance, they think should be a right enforced state by state, because in their states, they want to make sure everyone understands women are second class citizens who don’t deserve Constitutional rights. These are the same people who thought it was “states’ rights” to decide slavery. But for some reason Cletus thinks that if we make commonsense gun laws in heavily populated…
