First off, I re-read my comment and don’t see an “attack.” It was barely criticism.

Secondly, if you develop feelings for a female friend and she doesn’t reciprocate, she’s still your friend, right? If you develop feelings for a female friend and she doesn’t want the friendship to go further, there’s no reason to end the friendship if she’s really, truly your friend. What makes women hurt and angry is when men decide to end the friendship because they don’t get sex. Men don’t discard male friends like that.

As a woman who is getting on in years, I found that the times men were interested in me were when I stopped obsessing on finding a relationship and worked on being happy by myself. That attracts people.

Secondly, if you’re at all attracted to older women you might try an older gal. They’re more comfortable with themselves and may not have the checklists in their heads that younger women often do for a relationship.
