I feel this too--like so hard--but I've decided to lean into it. I'm 50. I dyed my hair purple when I was 43 or so. I dress in a way that makes me comfortable and happy. I am honestly shocked at how many young people genuinely compliment my appearance, I think mostly because I dress for ME now. Do some people snicker behind my back? Sure. I just don't give a shit anymore. Someone is going to laugh about something anyway, and I'm just going to have a good time and look the way I want.
