I Have a Huge Lady Crush on Amber Ruffin
Because how can I NOT?
It has come to my attention that I have certain funny feelings for a certain funny lady named Amber Ruffin. I am not generally a huge worshiper of celebrity, but there’s just something about Amber. What makes Amber great? Let me count the ways:
She is HILARIOUS. To me, this is the biggest reason to be an Amber Ruffin fan. Because she SLAYS. I first became aware of Amber via Drunk History and then Late Night with Seth Myers and was thrilled when she finally got her own late night talk show — The Amber Ruffin Show.
Her wardrobe is ON POINT. Look at the suit in the above photo. LOOK AT IT. It is gold and purple ala Prince circa 1985 and it is PERFECT. If I could’ve worn that outfit to my prom in 1987, my Pretty in Pink heart would’ve exploded.
WE HAVE THE SAME FIRST NAME. Amber. You know who Ambers usually are in movies and on TV? We are mean girls and strippers and hookers and SNL characters who have one leg and the farts. But not Amber Ruffin! Amber is smart, and funny, and beautiful, and I both envy and admire her to pieces.
