If Conservatives Think Americans Won’t Fight for Their Rights, They’re Mistaken

Conservatives seem surprised at the fury and pushback in the wake of of Justice Alito’s leaked Opinion on Roe V Wade. Their surprise is so ridiculous it’s almost funny.

They really thought they could take away people’s rights and no one would fight back.

HAHAHAHAHAHA. Have they forgotten what country this is? People love freedom here, and we’re willing to fight for it. Duh.

What they don’t seem to realize is any attack on the Fourteenth Amendment is an attack on ALL our rights. Everyone. When the State has the power to infringe on privacy, citizenship rights and equal protections under the law, that’s when human rights abuses happen — think China.

My daughter will not have fewer rights than an embryo or a rapist. That isn’t happening. Even if the law says so, her body belongs to her and we will do whatever is necessary to protect her body and her choice. Women like me are talking. The plans are already being made. Abortions will continue because people with uteruses have rights guaranteed under the constitution. The Supreme Court’s erroneous decision won’t take away our right to have bodily autonomy. People are already arranging rides, places to stay, and sources of funding to get those needing abortion care over state lines.
