If you're able to hold down a job and your life is fulfilling, there's nothing wrong with educating yourself about autism, but I don't really see the point in getting a formal diagnosis at this point. I tried to do this for my brother, but he has difficulty holding down a job and he has only a small circle of friends. I wanted a diagnosis for him so that he could potentially get services or job job assistance. I was told he's too old, that he should've been diagnosed as a kid. You sound like someone who enjoys information and research though, and there's nothing wrong with researching your own condition to understand yourself better. It took me years to figure out my own issues: ADD, CPTSD and a personality disorder. But now that I know, I can take steps to make my life easier and more agreeable to others. Good luck! There's no shame in being "different."
