It doesn’t matter why men or women are choosing certain jobs. Being a teacher is incredibly hard work and anyone who does the job, male or female, should be better paid and not shit on by the general public. Mechanics make about the same as teachers, but they have to deal with far fewer “customers” than teachers do, and mechanics aren’t villianized by the public the way teachers are. Both professions are necessary, but women have to put up with lower pay AND abuse.
