Ever since BLOTUS was “elected president” I’ve been channeling some of my rage through t-shirts, and I realized I now have a decent collection. I bought this Ruth Bader Ginsberg t-shirt right after the election from an artist friend of mine based in Austin, Texas, named Kayci Wheatley. You can click on her name to visit her website. How freaking awesome is that? LOVE IT.
Kayci also made the design for this t-shirt, and being that I’m an ’80s gal, I love this one too! OH-MI-GAWD!
My good friend Lana Grove designed this one, which I also LOVE. It’s edgy and beautiful and cool all at the same time. You may have seen the design floating around Facebook or Twitter. You can find more of her work here.
This shirt is ALWAYS fun to wear, and I get lots of funny looks, not that I give a shit. Although one night it did inspire a nurse at my local dive-bar to tell me to get my tits checked for cancer every year. This t-shirt is by artist Thedra Cullar-Ledford of Huston, who did a series of mastectomy art:
My daughter gave me this t-shirt for Christmas last year. I am a HUGE Wonder Woman fan:
When I saw this one, I HAD to have it. I LOVE Star Wars and I’m also a huge Carrie Fisher fan. If you haven’t read any of her books, you should!
Now, this one isn’t necessarily a feminist t-shirt, but since dumbass has been in office, people sure treat it like it is, and it definitely sums up the way I feel most of the time anymore:
I’m sure over the next couple years, I’ll just keep adding to my collection. This image is iconic and never goes out of style:
