Oh wow. Your categorization of social work, nursing and teaching as "detailed procedures or directions" is wildly innaccurate. I don't know about HR work. Social work, nursing and teaching are all difficult, demanding, dangerous professions that require quick thinking on one's feet. They are also grossly underpaid and appreciated.
