We understand animals are individuals, and we like to learn your pets’ likes and dislikes, habits, expressions and behaviors. We’ll be patient with them, and never push or punish.
We call openly hostile cats “spicy,” but really we love them just as much as the friendly ones. We admire their moxie.
And if you keep a glass of water somewhere in the house for your cat, you’re not alone. We’ll be happy to fill it.
We’ve probably made up nicknames for your pets just like you do, and we genuinely enjoy having the opportunity to visit them.
We don’t judge what your house looks like, and we see all kinds, from modest to extravagant, to cluttered and obsessively clean. We’re there to focus on your pets and what’s best for them while you’re away, period.
We clean up a lot of pee, poop and barf. A lot. Not that we love it, but it doesn’t really bother us to do so.
When I started this job, everyone who trained me warned me the hardest part of the job would be saying goodbye to the pets when your time is up with them.
They were right.
