Sigh. This is the most frustrating thing about conservatives. I was raised conservative before I became a screaming liberal. We may not love your churches, but we have zero desire to shut them down, because that is not freedom. (Not to mention there are plenty of liberals who attend church.) We believe in freedom and we believe in expanding freedoms for everyone, including conservatives. There is no liberal policy that takes any of your rights away. While there are a few vocal liberals who'd like to see guns go away, most of us are actually okay with gun ownership with stricter controls and many of us also own guns. Guns are never going anywhere in this country. What's alarming is the push by conservatives to make guns very open and public, which would turn this country into a third-world shithole.
