Supreme Court Justice Alito is Wrong
The United States of America has a long history of abortion — as does every other society
It’s incredibly frustrating the way the radical religious right leans on pure lies in their opposition to abortion, and the rot goes all the way to the top, from the Pope to leaders of nations and even Supreme Court Justices. Of course the country has been in an uproar over Samuel Justice Alito’s leaked opinion on abortion, in which he so boldly claimed:
“The inescapable conclusion is that a right to abortion is not deeply rooted in the Nation’s history and traditions.” -Justice Samuel Alito, forced-birth shill
The problem with that statement is it’s one-hundred-percent horseshit. Thankfully, NPR and other news outlets have begun reporting the truth. Not only does the United States of America have a long history of abortion, Founding Father Ben Franklin himself published a book that gave folks instructions for inducing their own abortions at home:
