The Toddler-Like Tantrums of Today’s Conservative Cult
American conservatives have always been bound together by their love of white Christianity, money, and righteous punishment for those they perceive to have done wrong. What’s become fascinating — and terrifying — is watching them demonstrate in real time their childish, shared mass delusions they expect the rest of us to take seriously. They’ve decided to go all-in on their hissy fit like at kid at the dinner table who won’t eat their mashed potatoes and peas because they’re touching.
Conservatives are now throwing literal temper-tantrums about CRT being taught in public schools when it isn’t being taught anywhere. They’re furious over “open borders” that aren’t open. They scream and cry about supposed conservative and Christian “persecution” that isn’t happening. They love watching fake news programs that purposely lie to them. I swear if trump were to tell them tomorrow that 2+2 is now 5, they’d be at school board meetings screaming about their kids’ rights to be taught “both sides” about “alternative math.”
