  1. There’s a reason men work outside the home more than women and it’s because men insist on being paid for your work. So women kindly take on most of the unpaid labor at home — as well as having to take time off work for kids’ doctor appointments, sick days with kids, driving elderly parents to doctors appointments — which means we have fewer hours for paid work, which means we end up retiring with far less money. The pay gap is very real. When a couple has children, it’s nearly always the woman whose earning potential goes down, while the man’s goes up.
  2. I already covered #2 in #1
  3. The custody difference after divorce basically no longer exists, except in a couple of states. In the majority of states, men automatically have equal custody of their kids under the law. What I hear from women time and time again is that some dads still don’t want their kids half time. They only want their kids occasionally.
  4. I acknowledge progress has been made for women. Men are going to be surprised to find many women no longer want to be married, because some men are still unable to treat women as equals and share all of the work of a household and kids equally.
