UGH. How frustrating and awful!

What I realized is that because companies lack diversity, white colleagues expect Black people who work with them to resemble the Black people they see on TV. So in my case, I think my colleagues expected me to be this larger-than-life, outspoken Black woman — and when I wasn’t, they judged me as being stupid.
