Well I'm never going to agree with you about not punching up. For instance, I have no problems with Black Americans complaining about white people because those complaints are very valid and real. I can take being called a "Karen" or even a "privileged white woman" because frankly, it's true. Men (especially white men) in this culture have gone largely uncriticized in the public sphere for decades simply because men controlled the public sphere. Pointing out a real shortcoming is different than substantiating stereotypes. This pandemic in particular has had real, measurable effects on women in this country who have been forced to leave the workforce to take care of children. The data is everywhere. If men want to deny facts, then we're not going to get anywhere.
