White People Aren’t Scared Enough of White Nationalism

And as a white person, it freaks me the f*ck out

There is a lesson we all should have learned when we were taught about the Holocaust: Nationalism is deadly. Not just for citizens with dark skin and foreigners, but for everyone.

Somehow, millions of us missed this message.

If you’re a white person who thinks your life will go on just fine under a white nationalist regime, you have a serious blind spot. Yes, the U.S. is racist. Yes, it’s possible to ignore this as a white person, especially when we’re operating under our “normal” racist levels.

But that’s not what’s happening right now. Anybody who’s politically in the center right now, needs to move left, at least for the time being.

No, I am not trying to turn you into a Democrat. But for the next few election cycles, you need to vote Democrat so that the Republican party will maybe, finally, force the extremists out of their party.
