What is oppressive is when we tell our kids that ALL knowledge worth a damn came out of Greece and European culture. That's pure bullshit. We've borrowed heavily from Arabic culture for math, but we don't teach our kids that. That's dishonest. It's also not saying Western Culture is superior or inferior to any other culture.
