Your profile says you're a caretaker. If you're taking care of your partner or a parent and you're tired, I'm sorry for you, and I'm not sure why you are so angry with me. Mail order bride services are widely recognized as a form of legal human trafficking. This is not groundbreaking news. It's been well-studied and documented by people smarter than you and me. Matching desperate (often young) women from poor and war-torn countries with a husband in a wealthier country like the US causes an inherent power imbalance in which the brides are often unable to speak English or speak it well, don't have any money or contacts in their new country, leaving them isolated and vulnerable with their new husbands. Many mail order brides are frequently abused and even murdered. Is every mail order bride abused? Of course not.

But the problem of mail order abuse and fraud is so bad in this country, Congress has addressed it as part of our immigration laws:

8 USC 1375: Mail-order bride business

"Although many of these mail-order marriages work out, in many other cases, anecdotal evidence suggests that mail-order brides find themselves in abusive relationships. There is also evidence to suggest that a substantial number of mail-order marriages are fraudulent under United States law.

(4) Many mail-order brides come to the United States unaware or ignorant of United States immigration law. Mail-order brides who are battered often think that if they flee an abusive marriage, they will be deported. Often the citizen spouse threatens to have them deported if they report the abuse.

(5) The Immigration and Naturalization Service estimates that the rate of marriage fraud between foreign nationals and United States citizens or aliens lawfully admitted for permanent residence is 8 percent. It is unclear what percentage of these marriage fraud cases originate as mail-order marriages."

No. I'm not going to offer actual reporting on this. Here in the comment section? Why would I? It's not my assignment.

Excusing the mail order bride industry as legitimate is precisely the kind of error that enables human trafficking to flourish. Below is more information on mail order brides as human trafficking. I have an article due.
